Copenhagen
2024
In Copenhagen for the 48th LFN Annual Conference, a wonderful event in the vibrant Danish capital, a city that fosters innovation and collaboration. This year’s program revolved around the advent of AI and prioritized fresh perspectives, featuring our third annual Women in Law event and the exciting presentation of the Young Lawyers Award recipient. We had the chance to enjoy thought-provoking sessions on cutting-edge legal issues, fostering professional development and strengthening the LFN community. This year’s LFN Award was also granted during the event’s gala dinner to Stenbroens Jurister, a Danish legal aid organization dedicated to serving the homeless, drug users, sex workers, and others experiencing marginalization.
New York
2023
Back in the U.S.A for our 47th Annual Meeting with 35 countries attending. This is the fourth time the LFN has met in the USA for an annual meeting. We took special care to promote the incorporation of new initiatives into the life of the LFN; in the programme we had, among other things, our first Women in Law event and the second Young Lawyers Award ceremony, with the aim of continuing to support the presence of young lawyers at our conferences. From a baseball game to a boat ride around the Statue of Liberty, there were numerous networking opportunities and, of course, many professional sessions on various topics that our host, Brown Rudnick, masters: technology accelerators, brand & reputation management; a diversity, pro bono, & ESG panel and many others.
Budapest
2022
This meeting marked the second annual meeting after the pandemic and placed us back on track of large gatherings where members had a space for networking, business development and learning.
The conference proved how very alive the Network was. We kept in contact during the past difficult years and grew. The Budapest conference saw the birth of the first edition of our Young Lawyer Essay Award, bringing young lawyers into our network and allowing members to see first-hand the remarkable increase in work among them. In Budapest we attended presentations on arbitration, psychology applied to law and GC expectations from outsourced law firm services, among others. A memorable conference organized by our Hungarian member, Szecskay Attorneys.
Amsterdam
2021
Our last annual face-to-face meeting was in Hong Kong in June 2019 and later we were still able to meet in Montreal in October 2019. In January 2020 a small group met in Paris to form the Real Estate Practice Group and since that date we were not able to have the chance to meet physically. After our 2020 Virtual Annual Assembly, with virtually all members present, we were already looking forward to seeing each other in Amsterdam. 20 virtual Practice Group Meetings later, we managed to be together again, this time in Amsterdam, from where we broadcasted the Annual Assembly for those members who still had great travel difficulties.
There were a lot of “thinking about the Network”, business development, marketing, and brainstorming sessions. A full day with a superb professional program, prepared by our host Wieringa and, as always, many networking opportunities in this wonderful city.

These intimate gatherings offer a localized forum for legal practitioners to engage in in-depth discussions, share regional insights, and foster connections within their region. Ho Chi Minh City
2024
The 2024 LFN Regional Conference in Ho Chi Minh City brought together legal professionals to explore key topics in APAC strategic planning, Green Finance, and Funding. The professional program featured insightful sessions on these evolving areas. The cultural program provided attendees with a chance to experience the best of the city, including a welcome dinner, a cruise along the Saigon River, a city bus tour, and traditional music performances. It was a fantastic mix of professional learning and cultural immersion.
Madrid
2023
EMEA Regional Conference in Madrid served to gather 16 countries from the EMEA region. Delegates had the opportunity to debate on energy transition and current investment trends in the U.S. and the U.K.; investment opportunities in Spain, a gateway to Europe for Latin America investor, and learn from top investment bankers on the current economic situation and risk assessment in the region.
EMEA members networked in this beautiful city of Europe, enjoying the weather the food and its fantastic surrounds.
Miami
2022
Miami served as the first Americas Conference after the pandemia. Much has been said about the LFN being founded around a bondfire in a sky resort, more than 30 years ago. Well not a chance for a sky resort in Miami and not the time for a gala dinner but there was plenty of time for the Americas members to rejoin after some dificult years, network and debate on How Governments across the Americas are reacting to, if any, Climate Change and what opportunities
